Sukash Chander Shekhar alias Shekhar Reddy of Bangalore in province was arrested from a mall in urban center(Kolkata), per police.

"He allegedly posed as associate IAS officer. He and Maria Paul approached Canara Bank in Madras seeking a 19 crore loan for a project. They disappeared once obtaining the loan. They bought cars price 7 crores and jewelry price 1 crore," aforesaid a police officer.
Shekhar was learning MBA at a Bangalore institute.
